We flew from Chicago USA to Dublin Ireland then from Dublin to Barcelona Spain.

- Catalan dance in font of the Cathedral on Sunday morning -
The Sardana, Catalan national dance is usually performed at festivals and other special occasions
throughout the country. Dancers form a circle, holding  their clasped hands high in the air.
Short, quiet steps alternate with longer, bouncy ones.

The roof is notable for its gargoyles of domestic and mythical animals.




We attended a Catalan Sunday mass at 1:00PM

Sagrada Família (Church of the Sacred Family)
Built by Art Nouveau master Antoni Gaudí from 1882 and still in construction today and is said to be completed by 2026.
Why does it take too long? Gaudí answered: "My client (God) is in no hurry".

Casa Milà (La Pedrera - House of Milà)
One of Gaudi's most famous buildings in Barcelona constructed in between 1906
and 1912 by architect Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926).


Casa Batlló
One of Gaudí's masterpieces in Art Nouveau. It was built in 1904 and locally known as "Casa dels ossos"
(House of Bones) as it has visceral, skeletal organic quality.

La Boqueria, originally named "Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, is one of the city's original landmarks dated
back to 1217. Today it became a famous tourist place to enjoy variety of chacuteris, fruits and other culinary delight.
